House of bricks

My favourite Lego activity was the racing car activity because it was fun modifying the car and I realized that you had to make the car longer to make it faster

My least favourite Lego activity was when we had to make art it was so boring because I didn’t know what to do. Then I saw my friends make beyblades so I made one as well

The activity that tested my perseverance the most was where we had to make something then we had to swap it with the person next to you because and some people destroys your building and some will make it much more better

The most challenging activity was the tower because it kept on falling

I enjoyed/did not enjoy working collaboratively with others because they would break your building but others won't

Umbrella

Kia ora welcome back to my blog. This week we watched a short film then we had to write about the short film and I will be showing you my story

My story

Umbrella

Early one rainy evening, the door to Miss Elens’s Home For Children had swung open. The girl with the lemon yellow umbrella, reluctantly stumbled into the orphanage before finding a home for her umbrella. Not wanting to be spotted, Boris quickly ducked his head around the door frame so that he was hidden from view.  Standing off to the side the girl silently observed the glorious scene as the children dug in the box for hidden treasures. The girl happily grinned as she watched the young boy who was zooming across the room like a bolt of lighting. Her smile vanished immediately as she looked back at the umbrella stand and all she saw was a line of puddles. Her beloved umbrella was stolen.

The short film I was watching was about empathy do you know what empathy is?

Margaret mahy

On May 20th Tumu hub went to the Margeret Mahy playground. My team's first activity was the waka. They taught us how to paddle. But the paddles became tiring but it still was fun.

Then my team went to Victoria Square. It was probably the best one because it had beautiful nature, plants and māori culture. At Victoria square had 2 statues, James cook and Queen Victoria.

Then my team went to the Margaret mahy Playground and there were drawings on the floor. Then we had to trace them with paper and crayons. How we traced them was quite interesting because we had to put the paper on the drawing. Then colour on the paper. It was really fun because the drawings are really cool looking. I traced three drawings

Last but not least me and my team fed the tuna (eels) when we all finished feeding the tuna. Then we had  to find mats on the ground which had 3 layers that's making it stay on the ground there’s also 13 mats and the mats also had meaning about it but i don't know what it means

My favourite part of the trip was Victoria square because it had beautiful plants and statues  `

Something I learnt was that māori people used to catch fishes in the Avon river and that the mats has a meaning to it but i don't know

The thing I found the most interesting was the waka because the Maori people used to go catch fish there and trade it in Victoria square

This trip has helped me with my PBL because It helped me learn lots about the māori culture
